Alex Byrne. In 2013 he and his friend Kim Farrell formed Liquid Rock n Roll wines in order to experiment with different styles of wine. Since 2014 he has also been making wines for Noisy Ritual, a people-powered urban winery in Melbourne. The Byrne and Liquid Rock'n'Roll labels and Noisy Ritual keep Alex's pretty busy in the wine making business.
Kim has been in wine industry for over 10 years, developing appreciation and love of wine working vintages for Brown Brothers, Milawa and Provenance Wines, Geelong. He currently runs a wine sales equipment business, supplying technical wine making equipment and winery project management solutions to the industry. Kim and Alex have a passion for music and Liquid Rock'n'Roll embodies this passion and love for all the good things in life.
This wine is made from a field blend of Riesling and Gewurztraminer from a high altitude vineyard on Mt Bellevue in the King Valley, North East Victoria. This wine is versatile as an aperitif, a cheese or dessert wine, or anywhere in between, especially with spicy food. It will develop complex aged characteristics but generally is enjoyed young and fresh. An explosive, aromatic wine built for pure smashability.
